VAHS Summer Picnic - Freight Room

You are cordially invited to celebrate the summer with VAHS!  Please join VAHS for our 2nd Annual Summer Picnic at the Depot on Wednesday, July 8th.  A picnic lunch will be provided (sandwiches, chips, beverages, and dessert) for only $5.00 per person.  Due to room capacity, seating is limited to fifty members.  Please register ASAP to guarantee a reservation.  Payment must be made at the time of registration.

We welcome a special guest to help us celebrate the Venice Centennial.  Dr. Fred Albee (aka VAHS longtime member Tom Bowers) was a major player in the development of our fair city.  Dr. Albee will share his life story from his humble beginnings in Maine through his successful orthopedic surgery career and developer of present-day Nokomis.  If Bertha Palmer is considered the “Mother of Venice,” Fred Albee would certainly be the “Father of Venice and Nokomis.”  In addition, this will be an excellent opportunity to mingle with fellow members and tour the Depot, Circus Car Museum, and the newly renovated Caboose!
